Decyphr ("the app") is a cryptogram puzzle game published by ABCD Pte Ltd. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
Decyphr does not require an account, login, or any personal information to play. We do not operate any backend that stores your name, email, location, or contact details.
Decyphr shows ads through Google AdMob to support free play. AdMob may collect and use a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS) to serve and measure ads.
| Data type | Collected | Linked to you | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device advertising ID (IDFA) | Yes, via Google AdMob | No — Decyphr has no account system | Third-party advertising |
On iOS, this only happens if you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, which Decyphr shows before any ad SDK requests tracking access. You can deny this prompt and still play the app normally — ads will simply be less targeted.
Puzzle content (quotes, clues, trivia facts) is fetched from our content database (Supabase) over a standard HTTPS connection. This request does not include any personal information — it's a public content fetch, the same for every player.
Your progress — coins, lives, completed puzzles, streaks — is stored only on your own device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to us.
Decyphr is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad personalization is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and Google AdMob's own policies for child-directed treatment where applicable.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
